Luxury Ski Holidays in Val Gardena

Located at the north-west corner of the famous Sella Ronda circuit in the heart of the Dolomites, Val Gardena is the perfect destination for a luxury ski holiday in Italy. Stretching over 25 km, Val Gardena encompasses three resorts - Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva Gardena.

The epitome of Italian charm and style, the towns are surrounded by the jaw-dropping scenery of the Sassolungo and the Sella massif. The valley is particularly well known for its tradition of hosting a number of international sports events including the Alpine Ski World Cup.

Scattered amidst the slopes are a host of lively, rustic mountain huts serving delicious traditional food. Since Val Gardena is so far north in Italy there is a great deal of Austrian heritage here, meaning that the food is a wonderful melange of both Italian and Tyrolean delicacies.

There are a number of fantastic restaurants alongside 5-star hotels and luxury ski chalets in Val Gardena. The après scene in this resort is a lively one, with some vibrant bars and pubs hosting live music nights and DJs throughout the season.

Val Gardena also has great access to the world famous Sella Ronda Ski circuit around the Sella massif. The total distance of the loop, including lifts, is about 40 km and its best to leave no later than 10 am.

Val Gardena itself is perfectly suited to both beginner and intermediate skiers, with almost 90% of runs marked as blue or red providing ample opportunity to perfect those turns by the end of the week.
